WAYS YOU CAN HELP WEST HOUSTON COMMUNITY CENTER
The big granite building is helping our community!
Would you like to help too?
Alcohol and drug abuse continue to destroy lives and families, but at WHCC, we are finding ways to
provide opportunities for positive growth and development to the 1200 young people and adults who use our building weekly. Destructive influences which feed on our society are dealt with through well-established and effective programs. For many individuals, WHCC offers the only safe place where they can confront their problems, learn to develop healthy relationships, heal their wounds, and regain their lives.
As a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, we must raise all of our funds, including operating and construction loan repayment funds in order to continue and expand meeting places and programs to so many.
Monthly Contributions
For a lot less than cable TV’s monthly charge, you can make a significant difference in our programs
Corporate Matching Programs
Many companies will match your donation to WHCC. Does your company participate in such a program? Also, many companies have foundations that give grants to non-profit organizations such as WHCC.
Do you have contact with such a foundation?
Churches & Synagogues
Does your church or synagogue have a Mission Committee? Why not suggest they give to WHCC?
Grocery Store Sharing Programs
Kroger and Randalls Grocery Stores have community sharing programs that donate a percentage of the money that you spend at their respective stores. Ask the WHCC Executive Director for a card to participate
Fundraisers
Each year WHCC conducts two large fundraisers. Why not volunteer some of your time and energy to their efforts?
Business Initiated Funding Requests
Sometimes, family members, friends, or local business contacts will support worthwhile organizations when contacted
