A Letter from the Executive Director

On behalf of the Board of Directors of West Houston Community Center, I would like to thank everyone who made a donation to West Houston Community Center at the Special Donation Sunday at St. Thomas. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which must raise all of the funds for our annual budget and building loan paydown, these monies will help us to continue to operate and grow.

We have also recently concluded our 1st Annual West Houston Community Center Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Pine Forest Country Club. The tournament was a huge success, and we are already planning for the 2nd Annual. We had about 85 golfers participate, as well as numerous sponsors.

Our next fund raiser will be the 3rd Annual Invitational Evening at Lakeside Country Club in February. If the growth of the second invitational is any indication, the third annual should be huge. This is a very fun evening for everyone involved!

Although our special fundraisers have been very successful, we will always need donations from individuals, churches, corporations, and grants throughout the year to keep the doors to WHCC open. Weekly we help some 1200 young people and adults confront their problems, learn to develop healthy relationships, heal their wounds, and regain their lives. For many, WHCC is the only safe place they have to do this. When the building is paid off, it will allow us to expand and add more groups and meetings, thereby helping more people with their problems.
