A Letter from the Executive Director

On behalf of the West Houston Community Center's Board of Directors, it gives me great pleasure to announce that we have moved into our long awaited, new, 12,000 square foot building. We thank you for your participation and on-going support that has made this milestone possible. This new modern multi-functional facility will allow the center to provide a variety of programs and services for individuals and families that will restore purpose and productivity to their lives. Your generous contributions help make this all possible!

The new center will make possible the continuation and expansion of existing programs which now include Alcoholics Anonymous and the Palmer Drug Abuse Program for teens and families. In addition, many other nonprofit causes can now be considered for occupation of the available space in this new building. Young Life, a Christian Youth Program, and Interface Samaritans, a nonprofit organization providing family and individual counseling, are two organizations that are new to the facility.

Since 1997, we have raised over seventy five percent of our goal through the generosity of corporations and individuals in the community, but we are still in need of funding to finish paying for the cost of construction and to help with the annual operating expenses. There are many ways to give to the West Houston Comunity Center, click here to go to the Donation page of this website to find the right donation alternative for you.

Thanks again for your support in making all these exciting events possible for the WHCC!

Sincerely,
John Funk
Executive Director
